Lucio Di Clemente

Lucio Di Clemente has held CEO, COO, and President positions for almost twenty years; leading such recognizable companies as Mattamy Homes, Brewers Retail, MDS Laboratories, Second Cup, and Thrifty Car Rental. Most recently, Lucio was President of West49 Inc.; a position he assumed after leading the highly successful sale of the company to Billabong International in Australia.

As a student and practitioner of effective corporate governance, Lucio has thirty years cumulative experience leading and serving on public, private, and not-for-profit boards of directors. As Board Chair, Special Committee Chair and Audit Committee Chair, and as a member of Executive, Governance, Compensation and Responsible Care Committees; Lucio possesses a rare breadth and depth of governance competencies. He currently serves as the Audit Committee Chair for Chemtrade Logistics (TSX listed).

A lifelong learner, Lucio holds a business degree from Ryerson, is a CPA/CA, earned an MBA from the University of Toronto, and has an ICD.D designation as a professional director. Lucio also belonged to YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) for over 15 years and served as both a Chapter Chair and as an Executive Committee Member.

Passionate about service to his community, Lucio’s contributions to society have been recognized with the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award for Voluntarism from the Province of Ontario.

Lucio has been married to his wife Rose for thirty years. They have three adult daughters and live in Toronto.
